If you have ever been to Haiti, you have had the perfect rice with black bean sauce, the best fried plantains on planet earth, and probably some street food that you wish was available via drive-through back home. And if you’ve ever visited us, then you have had this delicious Haitian dinner on a Sunday evening.
We’re giving you the recipes you need to taste Haiti at home!

We recommend starting your beans, then make the pikliz to set aside in the refrigerator (pikliz are better if they have soaked up all the flavors). Then start the chicken, and finish the beans. You’ll probably want to make some fried plantains, too 😉 (recipe to come soon).
