Today, we want to take a moment to recognize, cele

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize, celebrate and thank the incredible Haitian women who have been instrumental in raising our children in our programs. By providing care, support and love, these humble, strong women are making it possible for their children to grow up with a brighter future. We are thankful for them every day and we hope that today all of these special women know how much we appreciate them.

We especially want to recognize the Haitian mothers who participate in our monthly counselor-led support groups. These women are going beyond the stigma, as mental health is often seen as a taboo subject in Haiti. By attending our counseling and support sessions, these inspirational mothers are raising awareness about the importance of mental health and creating positive change in their communities. Through these sessions they are able to share their stories, listen to each other and receive advice and guidance. Our services help create a safe, supportive space for mothers from all walks of life, allowing them to thrive and be empowered. They should be applauded for their courage and resilience.
