PfamilyMissionEducationInitiativeHere in Haiti, public schools are rare to non-existent. There are no real “free” options for children to receive an education. In order to enroll in school – students are responsible for tuition, books, and uniforms. It compares to private school in the United States, in the sense that most families cannot afford it. On average the price per student is about $400.00 for a decent school. Statistics show that most families in Haiti are surviving on less than $2 a day, which makes paying for schooling nearly impossible for the majority of people. We are happy to announce that over the last 12 months, we have been able to assist 7 students either get back in school or stay in school. We hope to double the number of opportunities that we can provide through our ministry’s Education Initiative by the end of 2016. If you feel moved to support this effort, please give here.
